Send the link and the drawing updates for everybody as it happens. Up to 30 people can edit one board — a limit the realtime server enforces, not a number on a pricing page.
Eight starting points ship with the product: retro, brainstorm, flowchart, kanban, workshop agenda, an empty canvas, and two A4 sheets for boards that end up on paper.

Strokes follow pen pressure, and the canvas ignores your palm for as long as the pen is down. Two fingers pan and zoom.

A board is shared by its address. Whoever has it can edit, with no account and no invitation flow — and guests are free on every plan, including Free.

Answered at length, including where the answer is “not yet”.
Anyone who has the link. A board’s address is 21 random characters — about 126 bits, drawn from the browser’s cryptographic random source — so it cannot be guessed or walked through. But it is a bearer link: forwarding it is sharing the board. Board contents are stored encrypted at rest on our server, under a key that can be rotated without re-encrypting everything at once. What does not exist yet is per-person permissions — there is no viewer-only role. If that matters to you, it is worth telling us before you start.
No. Opening a board, drawing on it and sharing it work with no account at all — that is the path the number at the top of this page measures. An account buys you three things: a board list that survives closing the tab, a workspace you can add teammates to, and the paid tiers’ limits. Signing up takes one form and no credit card.
The current state of every board is stored durably and survives restarts and deploys — a board you come back to tomorrow is the board you left. A board you started without an account and never claimed is swept after 30 days of nobody opening it; claim it to an account and it stays. Be clear about what is not there: there is no version history yet. You cannot rewind a board to how it looked yesterday, and no plan sells that today. When it ships, this answer changes.
No, and that is a design consequence rather than an oversight: a board is a live shared document, so it needs a connection. If the connection drops mid-session the canvas reconnects on its own and catches up on what it missed, rather than losing the last few minutes. If you need the board somewhere without a network, export it as a PNG or a PDF first — that file is yours and needs nothing from us.
Three ways, all of them local to your machine and none of them gated behind a plan: every page exports as a PNG at twice screen resolution; a whole board prints to a multi-page A4 PDF in landscape; and the board saves as a file you can keep and reopen later. Nothing about leaving is made deliberately difficult — we would rather you could.
The operator is the company named in the Impressum, which is registered in Berlin. Board contents are encrypted at rest. The privacy policy and Impressum currently on this site are the operator’s existing German-language pages and are being rewritten for this product. Until that is done we will not name a hosting region on this page, because we have not verified it here — ask us and you will get the real answer rather than a reassuring one.
Nothing, on every plan, including Free. That is the one structural difference worth naming: the tools people compare us against either charge a full seat for an outside participant or put guest editing behind their business tier. Here a guest opens a link and edits, and your bill does not move. If you run workshops with people outside your company, that is most of the pricing conversation.
You keep your boards and you keep being able to open and edit them. What the Free tier limits is what you can create next: three editable boards and three team members. Nothing is deleted, no board is locked behind a paywall, and your exports never stop working. Cancel from the billing page whenever you like; access runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
